Charles is a compulsive wanderer learning to balance wanderlust and family life as a Primary Care Paramedic with the City of Greater Sudbury Emergency Services.  He has close to six years formal teaching experience at the secondary and post-secondary level teaching languages, humanities and social sciences in China, Japan and Nova Scotia and holds an MA in International Relations.  Charles has extensive wilderness experience both in a professional and recreational context, including trips and remote work throughout Asia, Europe and North America.  In addition to his urban EMS experience, Charles practices as a paramedic in various remote and austere contexts providing coverage for obstacle races, mass gathering events and long-distance wilderness adventure races.  Charles is comfortable working in both his native English and adopted French, and speaks fluent Mandarin as well as conversational Japanese and Spanish.” Charles is a paramedic lead researcher on a study on prehospital reduction of patellar dislocation through Health Sciences North Centre for Prehospital Care.
