James Murphy

James “MURPH” Murphy is a full-time Firefighter/ EMT with the Town of Sandwich. Murph is currently also an Instructor with the Barnstable County Fire/ Rescue Training Academy. He is also an Instructor for the Municipal Police Training Committee. Prior to working as a Firefighter Murph was also a Law Enforcement Officer (28+ yrs.) and a Rescue Technician with the FEMA USAR Task Force who deployed to the Atlanta Summer Olympics and the World Trade Center. Murph is also an active NSP Ski Patroller in New Hampshire. Murph lives on Cape Cod with his amazing wife Michelle and their daughter Scout, plus their 5 horses, 3 dogs, 20 chickens, and 1 goat. Murph loves to ski, kayak, trail run, hike, and mountain bike.
