Rachel began in the outdoor industry in 2006, working along the Youghiogheny River in southwestern Pennsylvania. Ever since then she has worked on rivers; her love for whitewater led her to become a whitewater paddling instructor and guide on canoe trips throughout Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and the NWT.

In 2014, Rachel took up a new adventure in the field of naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario; she has now has been in practice as a Naturopathic Doctor since 2020 at her clinic Sacred Grove Naturopathic. In 2021, she and her dear friends, Ashley Strange and Keira Loukes, co-founded Braiding Rivers, an ecocentric whitewater canoe guiding company for folks who identify as female+. In her spare time, you can find Rachel foraging for medicinal plants, crafting with botanical medicine, paddling, biking, skiing, or wandering in the woods with her dogs Harley and Beans.
