Lori Fredrickson

Feeling the need to offer backcountry medical care on hiking, climbing, and rafting trips while working with university students Lori was introduced to WRF around 2009. Her education is in the field of dentistry, both human and equine. This career was filled with care for indigenous peoples through Indian Health Service, research on the NHANES examining team, lead instructor for an equine dental education center, and a smattering of private practice.

Living on the shores of Lake Huron, Lori’s summers are filled with waterskiing, sailboarding, paddling, fishing, swimming and everything water. In the winter she is on ski patrol at 2 northern Michigan resorts. In 2024, Lori and her husband Jon decided to continue the adventure and completed an IT with WMA.
