Tom Rader

Location

New Mexico, United States

Certifications

WEMT, PHTLS

Since his first taste of medical training in 2000 at a WFR course, Tom has been actively pursuing medical training. While working as a Paramedic in Dallas, he enlisted in the Navy as a Corpsman (he was told they would send him to some cool medical training), and subsequently got attached to a Marine Reconnaissance unit and deployed (after, of course, going to numerous cool medical courses). While overseas, he developed and taught a Tactical Combat Casualty Course (TCCC) to the Iraqi Brigade Scouts and kept all of his Marines topped off with Motrin.

Since he has been back in the US, he has taken an avid interest in climbing 14ers and mountain biking during his time off. When he is not teaching for WMA, he works for University of New Mexico Hospital developing clinical web applications.
