INDUSTRY NEWS

Volunteer Opportunity with Girls Gotta Run Foundation

The Girls Gotta Run Foundation (GGRF), a U.S.-based nonprofit supporting girls in Ethiopia through education, running, and life-skills programs, is seeking a volunteer medical support lead for its upcoming 12-day fundraising and cultural immersion trip, November 19–30, 2025.

The trip includes time in Addis Ababa for the Great Ethiopian Run 10K (Nov. 23), a visit to GGRF’s program site in Bekoji, and a 3-day hiking adventure in the Bale Mountains. The volunteer will serve as the group’s medical point person, providing basic first aid and wellness guidance in a low-risk, adventure travel setting.

This non-clinical role is ideal for a WFR, Wilderness EMT, RN, or MD with expedition experience and a passion for global impact. Volunteers will gain valuable field experience in international travel, wilderness support, and group health logistics—while supporting GGRF’s mission to empower Ethiopian girls through education and sport.
