Tim Shaw lives in Whitefish, Montana with his wife and two kids.  Tim works as an educator, a ski patroller, and a climbing guide.  Tim has focused his professional career on outdoor and experiential education and holds a Masters Degree from Minnesota State University in Experiential Education.  Tim has worked as an educator and a professional guide for over 20 years.  Tim took his first WFR with WMA in 1996 in preparation for his work guiding students and recreational clients.  Through his experience as a guide and his exposure to wilderness based emergency medicine Tim found a passion for greater knowledge and skills in emergency medicine.  Tim has spent time working in urban EMS, ski hill EMS and in wilderness setting caring for clients.  He has been teaching emergency medicine courses for 10 years and has been with Wilderness Medical Associates since 2019.
