Brett Dodd

Brett Dodd is an experienced healthcare professional with a broad background in emergency services, flight medicine, and disaster response. With over 25 years in the field, he’s gained a wealth of experience that spans a variety of critical situations and environments. He combines this with his passion for outdoor activities like mountain biking, snowboarding, and hiking to help others learn more about medicine in austere environments.

In his current role overseeing the Simulation Center at Cedars-Sinai, he’s in a position to directly influence the training and preparation of both EMTs and other healthcare professionals, ensuring they are well-prepared for real-world emergencies. His work with prehospital programs is especially important, as it bridges the gap between initial response and advanced care, making a significant impact on patient outcomes. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time in the Sierra Nevada with his wife and dogs.
