Drawing from an outdoor guiding career of paddling, climbing, and dogsledding combined with a career as a Paramedic John is here to share his passion for both the outdoors and medicine. Bridging the gap between pre-hospital care and the constraints of wilderness medicine allow John to deliver realism and practicality in his teachings.  He looks forward to engaging student’s critical thinking and skills to prepare them for the unknown array of situations, environments, and challenges they may face. John currently resides in the Yukon Territory where he works as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic. He spends his free time cycling, paddling, preparing for expeditions and embracing his love affair of climbing (of over 15 years).
