Mat Bruehwiler

Matthias first came into contact with Wilderness Medical Associates® after his time in the army as a corps man. The multi-facetted work in a specialized army mountain unit brought Mat to some very wild and austere places, from the charring deserts of Africa to the freezing icecaps of the Arctic. Bringing medical care to some of the least accessible and vulnerable tribes and people became his mission.
Still thirsty for adventure, Mat now works with and teaches Rangers all over Africa to support the protection of Wildlife.

Mat lives in a small, pictoresque village in Switzerland. However you will have more chances finding him up in the Alps under a paraglider or halfway up a rockface. Maybe you will have to look even further and you will find him on a Ranger patrol in the forests of a remote African national park, trying to catch poachers.
