****Robert is an instructor at Central Michigan University and has been teaching outdoor leadership and various other leadership courses since 2000. After working as an EMT for 8 years with the local ambulance company, Rob now spends his summer as a health officer and trips coordinator at an amazing summer camp. He trains summer trip leaders in WFR and other staff in WFA. Rob is also a ski patroller and medical examiner investigator. He became a WMA instructor to provide a pathway for his students to become trained to manage an emergency, a skill that prepares them for careers in the outdoor industry. Robert chose WMA because of the outstanding instructors and his great experience taking the WFR in Canada circa 1997. “Be Trained to Respond….. not to React”.
