Shane Derry

Born just outside of Boston I moved to the mountains of British Columbia to pursue a life in the outdoors. In the summers I lead multi-day river expedition at home here British Colombia and abroad in Zimbabwe in the fall. In the winters I work as a team lead for SkI Patrol at Sunpeaks Resort where I’ve spent the last 4 winters. I also recently started my own company and run Swift Water Rescue training course in the spring.

Through these experiences I’ve grown my love for the outdoors, first aid, and teaching. Joining WMA allows me to combine them all in one!
