Sigrún lives in Akranes, Iceland where she works as an Emergency Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Emergency Department at Landspitali National University Hospital of Iceland. Sigrún has been a member of volunteer search and rescue teams since 1993 and since 2013 she has been a lead instructor in the Icelandic Search and Rescue School in first aid. She likes mountaineering and cross country skiing.
