Siggy has been with Wilderness Medical Associates since 2001. Siggy is a paramedic/firefighter/diver for the EMS & Fire Service in Reykjavik, Iceland. He has been teaching advanced life support courses since 1998. Through the years he has also been involved in various pre-hospital/EMT/paramedic education programs.

He also keeps busy in many other arenas outside of his day job. He’s worked as a medical supervisor for international development agencies in the Middle East, as a medic for expeditions to remote areas in SE Asia, and as an International Red Cross and Red Crescent delegate.

Apart from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. Together they keep busy skiing, kayaking, and appreciating the great outdoors.
