We will run 0900-1700 daily with homework– bring your own lunch– but we have a beautiful facility to work out of!

$650 for UWM students and $800 for General Public

Wilderness First Responder (WFR) is the definitive course in medical training for outdoor educators, guides, SAR team members and others who work or play in remote areas. The curriculum is comprehensive and practical, including all of the essential principles and skills required to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme enviroments. The 5 day format is for individuals and sponsors with less time available for onsite training and requires 25 hours of pre-course preparation.

Lodging and camping available for additional fee

You will be empowered with the knowledge you need to mitigate and manage emergencies. Better understanding what makes a serious or not serious problem. At Gut-Z Journey, we teach you the ‘why’ behind decision-making in the field. The skills are practical and long-lasting.

Bishop is nestled in between snow capped peaks. With ready access to world class climbing, skiing and accessible camping. It’s an outdoor paradise and a perfect place to renew your knowledge.

Lodging is available on site in the dorm – $75-90 / night, rooms sleep up to four. Private bathrooms, shared kitchen and lounge area. BYO lunches and you are welcome to cook in the kitchen.
