Full Course DescriptionSLED MED – This course is a combination of Wilderness First Aid and Avalanche Rescue Skills to get you prepared for your backcountry trips this winter.
This course is for those with some experience in the backcountry, looking to upgrade their skills. You will be learning lots, and learning lots fast!
Full Course DescriptionThis course prepares for the unexpected with hands-on introduction into wilderness first aid. If you work or play in a wilderness setting, enjoy outdoor activities, or maybe just beginning your adventures in mountains, this 16 hour course is for you! Classes take place in the classroom and outdoors regardless of weather.

The Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course provides essential training in wilderness medicine, leadership, and critical thinking for professionals, leaders, and outdoor adventurers in outdoor, low-resource, and remote environments.
This cost includes transportation between Rockland and Hurricane Island, all food and housing, all programming, and all facilities use.
$1200/adult for the class. This cost includes transportation between Rockland and Hurricane Island, all food and housing, all programming, and all facilities use. Please plan to arrive at the Rockland Ferry Terminal by 2:15 pm to allow enough time to check in with us to get your (provided) ferry tickets and be prepared to board the ferry on time.
