Taught completely outside with on-site access to a small cliff, boulders, quarry, forest, rocky coastline, mountain terrain and lakes – all perfect for training. Training and scenarios will integrate skill levels from basic EMT to Paramedic. On-site camping, nearby campgrounds and plenty of local lodging available in desired. Class is located at the southern end of the beautiful Bitterroot Valley, in Hamilton, MT. Home of world class fly fishing, gorgeous mountains and hiking, and other recreation abound.

This is an intensive 2 day WFA training that will teach students how to deal with medical emergencies when they are miles from help and dialing 911 is not an option.
The curriculum is comprehensive, yet practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to manage medical problems for working and playing in the remote outdoors.

Lodging available on site in heated yurts, cabins, or camp on site depending on the season.  Lodging/camping includes showers and kitchen.  Our beautiful private facility borders National Forest but is only 10 minutes from town.  Lodging/camping fees are paid directly to host facility, contact information for lodging will be sent upon registration.  Numerous hotels, and other rentals nearby.  Dispersed camping 10-20 minutes away.

This course meets the WALS requirements for individuals seeking to complete the Northeast Diploma in Mountain Medicine (DIMM), which is offered in collaboration with Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Wilderness and Austere Medicine program and Acadia Mountain Guides.
