Idyllwild: a classic mountain town with world-class climbing and bouldering…phenomenal mountain biking…stellar hiking…with lots of foodie options (and its own brewpub)- all within walking distance of your course. And: Joshua Tree National Park is only 75 minutes away! Small class sizes (usually max of 12) to enhance quality training, with flexible, reasonable lodging or camping options. A great course in a memorable location!

Learn basic first aid skills needed for wilderness adventures. The course is taught by professional instructors with significant patient care and backcountry experience at Whitewater Centers Grayson Campus just south of Grayson highland State Park. Camping and Lodging available

This is our full in-person 7-Day course format. There are no pre-requisites or pre-course work. Students will have access to the online textbook in advance and will be sent a hardcopy of the textbook upon request. Lodging is available at the course site in heated yurts or camp on site with access to showers and kitchen. Our property is on a private ranch that borders National Forest, but is only ten minutes from town. Bus service from Denver and available shuttle to the course site.
