Julie Harjung

Julie is a NYS Forest Ranger stationed in the Adirondack Mountains. She is a volunteer EMT and firefighter for the local fire department and teaches CPR & EMT classes locally for the NYS Department of Health. If she has any free time she likes to hike, camp, canoe, and ski. Luckily, all those fun things can also be done while "working".

Scott Sabo

Scott is a Forest Ranger for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, living and working in the Adirondack Park. He has been a search and rescue professional for over a decade, working throughout the lower 48 states in the wildest places he can find. He is currently a swiftwater rescue instructor, wildland fire squad boss, and a lead instructor for the Forest Rangers “tracking for search and rescue” program. When not working in the wilderness, Scott can be found playing in it. Canoeing, rafting, camping, backpacking, skiing, and chasing trout.


Logan Quinn

Logan is a Forest Ranger 1 with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and currently stationed in the Catskills region.  He is an EMT-Basic and has worked with Mobile-Medic in Sullivan County as well as his hometown fire and rescue squad in the Adirondacks.


David Meade

Dave has been New York State Forest Ranger since 1990, and has worked part-time as a Paramedic since 1999. He is active with his local fire Department and has held many positions there, including that of Assistant Chief. Dave lives and works in the Catskill Mountains with his wife and four children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing.


Mike Senecal

Mike is the Director and Back Country Medical Response Team Leader for NorthStar EMS in Western Maine. In addition to teaching for WMA, Mike is a Maine paramedic Instructor Coordinator and ACLS instructor. He enjoys section hiking the Appalachian Trail and wilderness canoeing. When not at work or in the woods, you will find Mike at home in New Portland Maine with his wife Billie Jo. 


Evie Marcolini

Evie is medical faculty at Yale University Medical School. As a physician she divides her clinical time between the emergency department as well as the surgical and neuroscience intensive care units. She is also involved in research, teaches trauma and critical care locally. She is the faculty advisor for Yale’s Wilderness Medical Interest Group. Evie has been an invited instructor to Egypt, India, Greece, Vietnam, and Argentina. Prior to becoming a physician, she worked as a paramedic/firefighter for 6 years. Evie has been an instructor for Outward Bound, a full time ski patroller, and is a member of Mahoosuc Mountain Search and Rescue, and Franklin County Search and Rescue. She enjoys rock and ice climbing, mountaineering and skiing, and has climbed extensively in the lower 48; other expeditions have included the Dolomites, New Zealand Southern Alps and the Alaska Range including Denali. Evie began working for Wilderness Medical Associates in 1992. She splits her time between New Haven, Connecticut and Greenwood, Maine.


Peter Wallace

Peter lives in Milo, Maine in a house that he built that is completely off the grid. He is a full time Paramedic working for Mayo Regional Hospital out of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. He also works for the local service in Milo Three Rivers Ambulance. Before going "Full Time" As a medic, he spent twenty years working full time in the Northwoods Canoe Company, building and restoring wood and canvas canoes, and is still a partner in the business and works part time. www.wooden-canoes.com He is a lead instructor for Outward Bound and is a registered Maine guide, guiding on the water and in the woods and mountains of Maine. He has been with the company for five years and says he, " enjoys the people he works with at WMA, the instructors and the students".
