Tom Rader

Since his first taste of medical training in 2000 at a WFR course, Tom has been actively pursuing medical training. While working as a Paramedic in Dallas, he enlisted in the Navy as a Corpsman (he was told they would send him to some cool medical training), and subsequently got attached to a Marine Reconnaissance unit and deployed (after, of course, going to numerous cool medical courses). While overseas, he developed and taught a Tactical Combat Casualty Course (TCCC) to the Iraqi Brigade Scouts and kept all of his Marines topped off with Motrin. Since he has been back in the US, he has taken an avid interest in climbing 14ers and mountain biking during his time off. When he is not teaching for WMA, he works for University of New Mexico Hospital developing clinical web applications.

Rachel Worth-Cappell

Rachel began in the outdoor industry in 2006, working as a climbing guide along the Youghiogheny River. Ever since then she has worked on rivers; her love for whitewater led her to guide remote trips throughout Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba with organizations like Boundless Adventures, Camp Kandalore, Northern Tier High Adventure Base, Paddlefoot and the Paddler Co-op. In 2014, Rachel took up a new adventure in the field of medicine, pursuing a degree in naturopathy in Toronto, ON. She is a recent graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine with a Doctor of Naturopathy degree. After her brief tenure as a city gal, Rachel will be moving back into the woods to marry her love of medicine, wellness and wilderness. In her spare time she can be found paddling, biking, climbing, skiing, and wandering in the woods with her dog, Harley. Or, in her pajamas watching Adventure Time.

Ginette Traversy

Ginette's passion for the outdoors led her to travel all over Canada and internationally. Working in remote locations taught her a great deal about how people manage to get themselves into trouble. It is what also led her to establish a small mission out of Nepal where she plans classes in small communities to teach them basic first aid. She is an active member of a search and rescue team, a remote 911 rescue team, a rescue diving mission, and is very involved with a research study on hypothermia. For more than 15 years she worked in Alberta as a guide, bear safety prevention team volunteer, and as a paramedic with ski patrol and children's camps.  She prides herself on being an eternal student and never stops wanting to learn new things! She will be the first one to try new adventures but she will tell you with great passion the things that she does not do: bowling, golf, and bingo!!! PS; Don't forget to tease her about her French accent...
